The most merciful thing in the world is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Back for good (?)

I am connected to the internet again (after a month leave), so expect more later.

There is a place

Some small updates on my website, most of them to do with information not being up to date and not being able to keep up to date (read: I removed some pages). I will move this month, so don't expect updates in the near-future.

Down the drain

Some rights reserved by Only Alice (http://www.flickr.com/photos/alltheaces) Sometimes the internet still amazes me. I had a discussion with some friends, about the history of sewers. In medieval fantasy worlds all the evil usually lives in the sewers, while according to my knowledge sewers are newer. The Romans however had some sewer systems.

Time for google... And there it was sewer-history.org . That's correct an entire website dedicated to the history of sewers, including some nice scanned articles.. So if you are also interested in this problem, read sewerage in ancient and medieval times by Harold Farnsworth Gray.

Feed my head

Wrote a fully validating, caching and fast RSS 2.0 generator tonight. I used the spec from Harvard law so I am not really sure if my feed has real world value. However it looks similar to serendipity's, so it should work. Only I don't understand the difference between the different ways of encoding the description tag . Never mind, happy syndicating!
